About the Center

Located in Two Medical Park, next to Palmetto Health Richland, USC sports medicine allows patients the ability for all services to be performed within the confines of our office or Palmetto Health Richland.

USC Sports Medicine Center physicians use a multi-disciplinary approach to sports medicine that is unlike any center in the state. Our Columbia based center provides easy access to a combination of sports medicine fellowship trained orthopedic surgeons, primary care sports medicine physicians, and certified athletic trainers. Our staff is dedicated to providing high quality and comprehensive care to the active patient whether a weekend warrior or the elite level athlete.

We provide a wide range or orthopedic services. Our services include general and pediatric orthopedics, arthritis care, and management of bone and joint injuries, including fracture care. Our physicians also treat diseases of the bone, including osteoporosis, and perform hand surgery. We provide skilled expertise to patients with traumatic and arthritic hand problems and those requiring hip and knee replacement surgery.

The USC Sports Medicine Center serves the specialized health care needs of athletes at all levels of competition, as well as providing diagnostic, treatment, and preventive services to anyone involved in sports or recreation.

With practicing physicians who also teach at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, USC Sports Medicine Center represents a partnership between academic medicine, community hospitals, health care organizations and private clinicians.

In May of 2002, USC sports medicine moved into a new 4,800-square foot facility in the lower level of Two Medical Park. The space includes 12 exam rooms, two x-ray rooms and a cast room. Easy patient access is provided by a direct entrance that bypasses elevators and stairs.

We strive to help you achieve your athletic training goals or speed you toward recovery as quickly as possible and as safely as possible.
